Students presented their prospectuses. Specifically, we asked them to cover four points:
What is your research question?
Why is it interesting?
How will you tackle it?
What sources have you found? (The idea here is to make a case for thinking that your plan will succeed.)
Maddie is still thinking about everyday forms of resistance. She is going to focus on the so-called great resignation to see if looking at it as a case of everyday forms of resistance is illuminating.
Sally has move off of veganism to a more general project about relations between human and non-human animals.
Francis is still looking at how we classify cuisines.
Izzy is thinking her project might be more general than she had originally thought. She is moving towards disinformation in general while treating her original subject, deep fake videos, as a special case.
